MOBILE CLINIC FOR THE COMOROS ISLANDS

The Minister of Health, Solidarity, Social Protection and Gender Promotion of Unión Comoros, Loub Yacout Zaidou, has inaugurated the first mobile clinic on the islands, located in the north-west of Madagascar.

The mobile clinic, manufactured by Lost Simetry, will improve basic medical care for populations in the most remote areas. Among the basic health care, both prevention and care offered by this mobile clinic, prenatal consultations and family planning stand out. They are also authorized to perform obstetric ultrasound and vaccination.

The Union Comoros Ministry of Health also plans to carry out information and awareness-raising activities on nutrition, HIV, and gender violence.

This initiative will allow disadvantaged populations in remote areas of the country to benefit from free, quality care.

This mobile clinic is one of 20 that Lost Simetry has supplied for different African countries, such as Madagascar, Ivory Coast, Mali or São Tomé and Príncipe.
